Britain’s Got Talent winner, Colin Thackery, brings 2020 tour to Newcastle Tyne Theatre & Opera House

Colin Thackery, the winner who stole everyone’s hearts on Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year, brings his 2020 tour Love Changes Everything to the Tyne Theatre and Opera House stage on Saturday 8th February 2020.




From the Royal Hospital Chelsea, to the Britain’s Got Talent Final, Colin Thackery made quite an impression from start to finish. When the 89-year-old Chelsea Pensioner Colin Thackery started to sing, there was barely a dry eye in the house. Performing on Britain’s Got Talent in his iconic Scarlet, with a row of medals across his chest, he mesmerised the audience as he lifted his voice in memory of his beloved wife Joan. When he left the stage, he was told that even the technicians were crying. Colin is an incredibly worthy winner.



Since the show Colin has become the oldest person to ever sign their first record deal.



This new headline tour, surrounding his 90th birthday celebration, will see Colin perform all his favourite songs as well as his much loved tracks from Britain’s Got Talent. Colin will also be joined by acclaimed musical director, supervisor and conductor Jae Alexander.



Speaking on the new tour Colin says, “I am so excited to continue this journey and meet lots of new people”.

It's just a crack in the screen...... Not my usual kind of blog post. The smartphone has become part of everyday life. For a business like mine it had opened up new avenues to spread the word about my clients as a PR. I found some of these shut suddenly when my phone hurtled to the kitchen floor. Just a cracked screen. I worried the phone may cost a fortune to fix, but got similar quotes from about 3 people and so when one of them called back promising a 48 hr turnaraound, and 6 months warranty, I thought, I could trust the friendly voice of "John" at the other end of the line. The UPS driver arrived within 10 minutes and my phone was in a padded envelope off to Elite Phones And Computers in Manchester. This was a mistake.
