Indie-rock renegades - WILLIAM THE CONQUEROR - are pleased to announce an appearance in Sunderland this Autumn (21/10).

Touring with their latest studio work ‘Maverick Thinker’, the Cornwall trio fronted by Ruarri Joseph will be showcasing gems from their acclaimed 2021 album, plus highlights from their rapidly growing back catalogue. 

Latest album 'Maverick Thinker' (Chrysalis Records) has been described as "a record of cuts and bruises, wrapped within bittersweet leftfield rock n roll tunes - short, sharp shots to the arm; fuzzy college rock with chops, one foot lingering menacingly over the distortion pedal."

Recorded in LA at the infamous Sound City Studios, the trio rattled through the album’s ten tunes at a breakneck speed - the energy and chaos nods to some of the US lo-fi greats and yet arrives at something innately British.

With live performances that have earned rave reviews and drawn wildly enthusiastic comparisons to Kings of Leon, Nirvana, Buffalo Tom and The Marshall Tucker Band; William The Conqueror's upcoming performance in Sunderland this Autumn promises to be another unmissable fixture in the cult band’s ascent.

HIS LORDSHIP - the new project from guitarist James Walbourne (The Pretenders, The Pogues, The Rails) and Kristoffer Sonne (Chrissie Hynde, Willie Nelson) have announced UK tour dates for this Summer.

A string of 8 dates, they will include shows across London, Glasgow and Brighton throughout July as they bring their brand-new 'His Lordship Play Rock'N'Roll Volume One' EP to the live stage for the first time. Full dates and details can be found below. 

Having already made an indelible mark on London’s live scene, His Lordship is the sound of Walbourne unleashed as a frontman; a furious riot of raging guitar and perverted drums from another dimension.

Their brand-new EP, 'His Lordship Play Rock'N'Roll Volume One', is a one take collection of rock ‘n’ roll covers, which came together in one evening after a long day of recording original songs (also coming soon). Deciding to let loose, they kept the tape rolling and filmed a set of rock’n’roll tunes they like to play. They didn’t even rehearse them. The finished EP is a first take 15-minute set of stuff they like: Gene Vincent, Jack Scott, Link Wray and The Killer. 

The EP is out now on all streaming platforms and is available to purchase on vinyl release at Psychonaut Sounds or via Bandcamp here.

It's just a crack in the screen...... Not my usual kind of blog post. The smartphone has become part of everyday life. For a business like mine it had opened up new avenues to spread the word about my clients as a PR. I found some of these shut suddenly when my phone hurtled to the kitchen floor. Just a cracked screen. I worried the phone may cost a fortune to fix, but got similar quotes from about 3 people and so when one of them called back promising a 48 hr turnaraound, and 6 months warranty, I thought, I could trust the friendly voice of "John" at the other end of the line. The UPS driver arrived within 10 minutes and my phone was in a padded envelope off to Elite Phones And Computers in Manchester. This was a mistake.
