Troy Slater is Working Round The Clock to  Create Masterpieces on People's Skin Since rediscovering his talent for tattooing, Troy Slater has gone from strength to strength in his expertise in the craft. He works at Immortal Arts Studio in Carlisle and has a strong background in fine and graphic art. Lion The past few months have been non-stop for Troy as people see his work and want something of that quality for their own corporal canvas. Troy is a unique artists and can create commissioned pieces. This post, however is about his tattoo work. We'll be back with another post about his wall-mountable art. Cumbria artist Rachel Greenbank is holding an exhibition of her works at  Circle Bar, in Lowther Arcade, Carlisle. Rachel is a contemporary portrait and figure artist and Illustrator. After graduating in Illustration in 1998 from U.C.Lancs with first class Hons Rachel gained her first art job designing greeting cards for International Greetings and Inspire By Design. She freelanced for 4-5 years,before returning to her first loves -portrait painting and The Lake District. As a portrait artist she passionately believes the process of trying to capture a persons character, and simultaneously revealing a little of ones own personality, is the driving force behind her work.  She creates realistic, emotive portraits, in acrylic, pencil and mixed media. Blending the natural beauty of figures and faces with nature's elements, and constructing digital montages she then creates artworks that are reflections of love, spirituality, human nature and self expression. Pam Royle steps out in support of the Theatre Royal ITV Tyne Tees anchorwoman, Pam Royle is to host a special fundraising event at Newcastle Theatre Royal next week. Pam has been a familiar face in the north for 30 years and is known for giving much of her personal time and support to a number of North East charities, and the Theatre Royal is set to join the list. Pam Royle will host the event at the Theatre Royal on Monday 13 January alongside local artist Alexander Millar, who has produced a brand new oil painting featuring his infamous ‘gadgie’ in support of the Theatre Royal, the auction of which will begin on the evening.
