There is something for everyone ranging from songs about rum and good times to tackling the darker side of life and mocking society. The Globe on the 7th of April is the place to go to if you want to experience what is becoming one of the best Alternative music scene’s in the UK, And its free entry. Having coined the term “groove rock” they produce a sound that is easily identifiable, sets them apart and seen them become one of the most successful bands to come out of Newcastle. Metal Moth ,   We Rise Tomorrow ,   The Distorted ,   Blackjack O2 Academy  Newcastle Saturday 22nd August 2015 Metal Moth  ©Joanne Oliver for Jowheretogo Four great local rock bands rocked the Academy. Headliners Metal Moth blew away new fans with their heavy chunky riffs keeping the friendly mosh pit happy. They played the tracks from their Rise EP and upon that basis their next EP will be a must buy. Natalie Gaines’ intricate rhythms coupled with Kurt Hudson’s engaging vocal style wrapped in a sea of guitars make for a great outfit.
