A Mini Rock Festival Think Tank had a crowd ready for a night of blistering rock, and it started with local band Blackout Hotel. Their motoring, 90s style rock was supplemented by a cheeky chappie stage style and assorted biscuits. Come Out Fighting was epic rock with Psychedelic Furs edge. Something about this band i really love, is their interaction with the audience, a great opener. Blackout Hotel Next up were Edenthorn (also local) playing hard melodic rock with a nod toward Soundgarden and Dio. Tight 4 piece. They played their upcoming single (possible called There's A Place? ) and have a penchant for changing the time signatures around. Their metal waltz Life and Death was a stand-out track for me. Edenthorn The Raven Age put on very polished headbanging performance which bodes well for their tour supporting Iron Maiden. The powerchord was reborn in Into The Shadows. It is hard not to join in the mosh with this band. A very polished performance right d...
