Music Festival of the Northeast Does it Again! Corbridge Festival Delivers the Goods Corbridge Festival continues to grow as the family music festival of the Northeast. All visitors are catered for, with a wide range of food offerings, children’s activities, entertainment a fairground and of course world class musical talent.  I didn’t get to see absolutely everyone perform as there were three stages, but we had a great time. It must have been great to be a punter relaxing at this vibrant event.  The first band we caught was Coquin Migale. They’ve become more psych rock, less jingly indie. They have a harder edged than their debut here 3 years ago, and we liked it. London show this Thursday Tom Robinson plays benefit night for Russian LGBT groups "Out 4A Good Time" will be a musical, comedic and poetic cabaret of earthly delights in support of the Russian LGBT Federation with The Barbafellas, Marcus Reeves, Peter Scott-Presland, Scott Capurro, Lee Forsyth Griffiths and Tom Robinson - as part of the Southwark LGBT Pride Festival. About the performers: BARBERFELLAS: An offshoot of the Pink Singers, specialising in spine-tingling close harmony, a capella singing and some very camp routines. Material ranges from musicals to gospel. This spring they are appearing/have appeared in Bologna, Hong Kong – and our own Dulwich Festival of Choirs. MARCUS REEVES: A singer-songwriter of huge range and versatility, combining sharp lyrics, memorable tunes and a highly theatrical style. This album has earned a regular place on my car stereo.. I don't usually do album reviews but there's a first time for everything. The thing about this collection of songs is the fact they have been played to death on my journeys to and from the Jowheretogo office. But until now they have been in a different order. I got hold of the Pledge Music version several months ago. This means I am used to the (slightly ominous when you're driving) Car Crash starting the album. A really stonking tune, with a wonderful blend of instrumentation that started the album off really well. The new version of the album starts with the equally catchy Feed Me to The Dogs. I'm not entirely sure about the way it fades into the excellent Turned On  but that's a personal taste thing. The Waitress struck a chord with me.
