Trailblazer named as headline act for SummerTyne Americana Festival 2019 Americana trailblazer k.d. lang is announced today as the first headliner at this year’s SummerTyne Americana Festival at Sage Gateshead in July.  The 14th annual festival promises a line-up including an eclectic mix of legendary Americana heavyweights, cross-over artists and breakthrough talent from both sides of the Atlantic. Nova Radio's Artist of 2018  has a new band and a new single. The  single Marry Yourself celebrates being single, dispelling the myth that everyone must find a partner to be complete. It's not anti-marriage, it's just saying you don't need to become a wife or husband in order to be accepted in to society. Women especially think this is a must and it's not. It's sending out a very positive message to everyone, whatever their gender. The song is not autobiographical unlike the B-side : Hang For It . The single is due for release in early March.
