Heat 2 of Metal2TheMasses:  The Battle for Bloodstock Last month saw the first ever heat in the first ever Bloodstock Metal 2 The Masses competition in Newcastle. Five amazing bands graced the stage at Trillians, with Guilt City and Hellion Rising progressing to the semi finals in May. Now it is time to do it all again. Thursday, 31st March, is heat 2 of the competition - and if the first heat is anything to go by, it's going to be fun - and it's going to be diverse. The five bands competing to reach the semis this time are : Autoimmune - an alternative rock band from Darlington, citing influences from Led Zepplin to Motorhead to Nirvana to Pantera. A New Nowhere - A Newcastle band with hints of nu-metal and grunge.  Like a mix up of Foo Fighters and Deftones. The Coral, Grandmaster Flash  and many more heading to  Corbridge Festival this Summer! Corbridge Festival , the increasingly popular family-friendly music festival, returns for its sixth year with a spectacular musical line-up. Born in 2011 out of a desire to bring great music and family entertainment to West Northumberland.   Headlining the festival on Saturday 9th July this year is Liverpool rock band The Coral . The five-piece band, who had 8 top 30 singles and six top 20 albums, were the figureheads of the Merseyside revival in the mid-2000s and have recently released Distance Inbetween , their first album of new material in six years.   On 23 Nov 2015 the band announced their 2016 return after a five year break and will mark their return by headlining The Corbridge Festival! They first found success with their debut album The Coral which was nominated for the 2002 Mercury Music Prize and later voted the fourth best album of the year by NME M...
